FAQ DERMAPEN
Q : How does Dermapen™ work?
A : As Dermapen™ moves over the skin surface, it creates micro-injuries in the skin, a large portion of which are simply pores, temporarily pushed open by the device's needles. This is perceived by the body as damage, and subsequently triggers production of collagen and elastin. Your skin reacts to any injury by initiating this healing process. You encourage your skin to continue healing through this micro-needling process. Your skin normally assumes that scars, stretch marks and wrinkles are fully repaired tissues, but with the Dermapen™, the organism is tricked into generating new healthy skin. The process of post-needling skin rejuvenation can go on for months after each Dermapen™ treatment. Results can be seen within a week or even a few days. Your skin naturally heals itself every 45 days, so with a little micro-needling stimulation, changes can be dramatic and fast.

Q : Who can use a Dermapen™ Medical?
A : Dermapen™ Medical goes up to 2.5mm into the skin and so for that reason we only sell Dermapen™ Medical to fully qualified doctors and nurses.

Q : How are the needle tips sterilized?
A : We offer regular free training workshops (Australia only). Please contact us or your local distributor for information about training workshops in your region.

Q : Can Dermapen™ provide training?
A : You will need to speak with your insurance company to make sure that they alter the insurance for Dermapen™ as it works quite differently to the dermal rollers. However, if you have insurance, it shouldn't be a problem to alter it to cover your use of Dermapen™.

Q : Is there any downtime after treatments?
A : Generally no, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily..

Q : How many times can I use each needle tip?
A : Dermapen™'s sterile needle tips are designed to be disposable and are for single-use only, to prevent cross-contamination and infection. The needle tips cannot be properly sterilized due to the materials used in their construction. We strongly recommend against re-using needle tip cartridges, as patient safety is of paramount importance.

Dermapen™'s design permits the user to change the needle tip cartridge after each treatment. A low consumable cost of the needle tips, combined with little to no downtime for the patient, makes Dermapen™ an ideal solution.

FAQ Oxygenesis

Q : If breathing development is so important to my health, why hasn't my doctor recommended it?
A : While medical schools include information about how the respiratory system works, few offer any information regarding the fact that breathing capacity can be expanded. This is partly due to lack of awareness. Only in the last 40 years has there been any attention paid to the idea at all. Further, medical schools are largely funded (and influenced) by pharmaceutical companies, who invest large sums of money on research into unique creations (ie., drugs), which can be patented. They also invest a great deal of money advertising in med school textbooks. Breathing cannot be patented, nor is it highly profitable, financially, to teach effective breathing skills. .

Q : I have been doing yoga/yogic breathing/chi kung or other breathing exercises for years. Why should I consider your methods any better?
A : You shouldn't. Unless you want to expand your breathing capacity and/or release unwanted thought/behavior patterns from your life. There are many valuable uses for breathing exercises. If your life is as vibrant as you want it to be, just keep doing whatever you are doing. If you feel there is room for expansion into greater health and vitality, there is. Whatever breathing practice you are engaged in, breathing development and/or breathwork can assist you in achieving faster, more fulfilling results. In addition, it is important to be aware that some breathing exercises can feel good while actually reducing breathing capacity.

Q : I was breathing very well until a short while after I had an accident that put me in the hospital. What happened?
A : It is not uncommon for a severe physical trauma to result in noticeably restricted breathing patterns immediately after or shortly thereafter. If the lungs or other aspects of the respiratory system have been damaged, this is obvious. However, restrictions can occur even when the respiratory system is not directly involved. Here's why: When we experience pain, we often hold our breath - this is how we learned to withhold the expression of feelings. Breath holding or restriction prevents the flow of energy through our body and the residue of pain gets stuck - stored in the body and felt as tension or chronic pain. As we feel this chronic pain, we again restrict our breathing, keeping the pain in place. Transformational Breathwork uses a powerful breathing rhythm that releases the stuck energy in a safe and nurturing environment for the expression (pushing out) of old pain.

FAQ Applisonix
What makes ultrasound different from other technologies?
A special ultrasonic probe is used to focus the energy precisely on the hair follicle enabling treatment of highly sensitive areas. Ultrasound is channeled directly to the hair root where it is converted into heat. As a result, the temperature inhibits the hair`s re-growth. The skin in unaffected as the energy is applied directly on the hair shaft.

Is the treatment painful?
The treatment is virtually painless as the ultrasound waves do not dissipate into the surrounding skin tissue which contains the main pain receptors. Therefore the treatment can be carried out on even the most sensitive areas like eyebrows, upper lip and bikini line.

Can white hair be treated?
Unlike laser and IPL hair removal, all color hairs can be treated as the ultrasound technology does not rely on the coloring (melanin) in the hair to be effective. Applisonix is extremely effective on white hair as well as very fine hair.

Does it matter what color skin I have?
Irrespective of the color of your skin, Applisonix treatments are suitable for everyone. NUYU's technology can even be used on pigmented areas, like the areola (nipple) as well as mucous areas (nose, hair, ear follicles, etc.).

What is the percentage of hair reduction after treatments?
In controlled clinical studies that were carried out on the leg, an average of 38% hair reduction was achieved after the second treatment.

Are the results permanent?
Long-term results are dependent on genetics, hormones and medications which can induce hair growth.

How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments depends upon the body area. For instance, ears, knuckles and areola generally require 6-8 treatments.
